Who Drank Cow’s Milk First?

Cows, Benefits of Excersise & Using The Sauna

Welcome back it’s been a hell of a week so settle in for a fun read.

Random Thoughts 🤯

Who was the first person to look at a cow and think, “Yeah, I’ll have a go at that”?

Imagine the scene: this guy’s mates are standing around, watching in horror as he starts fiddling with a cow’s udders, and then—like the absolute maverick he was—decides to drink the result. Surely, someone must have thought, “He’s completely lost it.” But somehow, this bold, slightly unhinged experiment led to milk being a staple of human diets.

Did he try it out of desperation?

Curiosity?

Was there a dare involved?

Whatever the reason, humanity owes that oddball a big thank-you—though maybe also a bit of side-eye for how it all began.

Science Corner: The Psychological Benefits of Exercise

Exercise does more than tone your body; it’s a powerful tool for improving mental health. When you work out, your brain releases chemicals like endorphins and dopamine, which are often called “feel-good” chemicals. These reduce stress and boost your mood, which is why people often describe feeling happier or more relaxed after physical activity. Exercise also lowers the levels of cortisol, the hormone responsible for stress, helping you feel more balanced and less overwhelmed.

One of the most significant benefits of exercise is its impact on anxiety and depression. Studies show that regular exercise can be as effective as medication for mild to moderate depression. It gives you a sense of control, creates a routine, and even provides an outlet for emotional release. Whether it’s a brisk walk or a full workout, moving your body redirects your focus and helps quiet those racing thoughts that fuel anxiety.

Exercise isn’t just about mood, though—it’s great for your brain. Activities like running or swimming improve blood flow and increase the size of the hippocampus, the part of your brain linked to memory and learning. Over time, this can enhance focus, creativity, and problem-solving skills. So, whether you’re hitting the gym, walking the dog, or just having a dance party in your living room, remember that exercise isn’t just good for your body—it’s a boost for your mind too.
